The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon shows fresh and concentrated dark fruit flavors backed by notes of cocoa and herbs characteristic of the chaparral surrounding the vineyards. Firm, lush tannins are hallmarks of its source vineyards, two of the oldest blocks on the ranch. This is a powerful, masculine wine that reveals a refined charm and the weight to age a minimum of 3-4 years. Note how this wine evolves after openings. If you have time, you may wish to decant it for several hours.

From Antonio Galloni: The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch is a real powerhouse. Black cherry, chocolate, spice, menthol, leather and licorice give the 2017 a real feeling of power and gravitas. On the palate the 2017 is rich, substantial and full of character. Even with all of that intensity, the 2017 retains terrific freshness and plenty of drive. I only hope I can taste it again in the future, as only 75 cases were bottled.  95 Points
