Very few barrels become Oakville Ranch Napa Valley, our signature Bordeaux blend. The 2018 Oakville Ranch is a standout; the product of a gentle, even growing season with a break in the drought. Harvested fully ripe with ideal tannin development, the grapes’ flavors were luscious and layered, resulting in a rich, supple, full-bodied wine. Initial hints of blueberry and sage evolve into aromas of currant, plum and cherry. On the palate, the flavors are deep and complex, unfolding from blackberry to cassis with hints of cedar and finishing with a note of chocolate. This evolution of complex flavors and aromas signals a long life ahead for the 2018 Oakville Ranch.
